Benjamin Franklin On Liberty

I recently read a quote from Benjamin Franklin that I found quite relative.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

We saw LIT a few days ago and felt that it was a waste of our money and time to watch it. A few of our observations: * Although, we heard otherwise, the acting was lackluster. * The characters were poorly written. * And even more poorly developed. * The film created no empathy for the main characters. * The constant mocking of any and all Japanese person’s L & Rs. * The masseuse. * The strip club. * The photographer for the Suntory commercial. * The stereotypes. * and on, and on and on.
Basically this was a poorly written movie, with no character development, bad directing, altogether far too many sereotypes, and an “exotic” location. I want my ¥2,000 and 2 hours back Sophia Coppola, you pretentious bitch.
If you were to travel at the speed of light, would you see everything or nothing?
